Welcome to the creation of Long Tall Sally, an 8-foot, three-dimensional giraffe who will be mosaicked over the winter. Once completed, Sally will be on display at Vilas Zoo in Madison, WI, during Summer 2010 for the Zoobilee fundraiser that will benefit Vilas Zoo and the UW Childrens Hospital.
Follow us as we bring Sally to life. Artists Tom Linfield, Aimee Reid Rice, and Dana Slowiak will mosaic Sally, with glass donated courtesy of The Vinery. We will provide updates and photos of our process and progress over the coming months.
